Summary/Reflection 2/4
This week we learned about roles as a researcher, tips for researching, annotated bibliographies, evaluating websites, evaluating academic sources, claims and how to write a proposal for our main inquiry project. We also did a free write on our topic for our main inquiry project. I think the free write was a good idea. I felt like it helped me. I am still a little nervous about this project but I know it will be interesting to do. My topic is about high school drop out rates among minorities.

I think that is a great idea for your research project. Are you going to just do the statistics for Charlotte? Compare and contrast between majorities/minorities and male/female? And have you thought of any possible solutions yet?....possibly setting up an incentive program for the most effected group. I'm interested to see how it turns out. Good luck!!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I will be doing research for Charlotte Mecklengberg School District and researching minority drop out rates as whole. Thanks for the idea, I had some thought in some sort of incentive program.
